A client had interior pipes hammering from irrigation back pressure issues. We installed the highest quality pressure regulator, new shut off valves and, and new valve boxes. A one day fix saved them thousands of dollars in potential plumbing damages.
After installing all new plants for a client, we designed and installed a new drip irrigation system for them. We installed brand new valves, filters, pressure reducers, timer, and drip lines. The was system designed to save water and help plants thrive in the inland heat.

any size job

FAQ
All of our irrigation work is charged by the man hour, plus product cost. Besides labor and parts some projects may require flat fees for heavy/special equipment use if needed. Rates are as follows: First man hour- $140, each additional man hour- $120, any product cost at Yard Techs selling price. The minimum charge for any job is one man hour ($140).
During our free quotes we are only there to exchange ideas
and tell you about our services. This may be ideal for larger installs or new
systems but not for small repairs or audits. We will not turn on your
irrigation system or inspect zones during our free quotes. Therefore, if you
have an irrigation concern, the best route is text or email us with
photos/video showing us the concern. When the irrigation tech shows up to the property,
he will have a fully loaded truck and be ready to work. We do offer one-hour
audits for our minimum labor charge where we can go through the system and flag
any issues found.
We have team members that specialize in irrigation. Their skill
sets do demand a higher wage than some of their counterparts. Irrigation techs
also require specialized trucks, training, software, and storage needs that all
cost significantly more than standard maintenance. When you hire Yard Techs for
your irrigation work you are hiring a professional, not someone learning on
your property or doing a repair for the first time. Please consider the differences
in quality of service and professionalism when comparing cost.
Most plumbers don’t want to work on exterior plumbing in the landscape with the expectation of main line replacements. A general rule is if the repair is required on a line before the split to the irrigation system, then call a plumber. If the leak is anywhere on the irrigation main line or after, then call an irrigation service. Most plumbers don’t want to work in an area that they need to dig up a landscape. Our team installs landscapes and can take your yard apart and put it back together.
Overhead sprinklers are good for lawns or planters that have many plants, planting schemes that will change and thus don’t want a limited planting area, or for more established landscapes. Drip systems are ideal on new installations where the plant roots are only in one area, or where you want to conserve water. There is no perfect system, you may start with one and as the plants mature you may need to change to another type.
In ground valves are ideal when you don’t want to see the valves and don’t mind paying extra for the installation and repairs. The real advantage is their hidden nature and how they are protected from sun rays and accidental damage. Above ground valves are ideal when you want to be able to see your valves and have lower install/repair cost. Above ground valves are common in Southern California residential properties since we don’t get to freezing temperatures and space in the yard is often limited.
After a plant gets watered the area should be wet but not muddy. If your plants get watered in the morning there should be some sign of water by later afternoon still. If there is no sign of water around noon, the plant may require more irrigation. If there are signs of mud, then the frequency or run time of the zone may need to be decreased.
